Stablecoin funding to surge $11.3B

CB Insights and Stablecon recently released their Stablecoin market map, which analyzes the growth of the stablecoin ecosystem and the 172 “high-momentum” companies powering it.

The companies were categorized into eight focus areas and were selected based on their “Mosaic score”: a 1,000-point scale created to assess a company’s health and growth potential (Mesh’s score is currently 854).

Rapid growth of the ecosystem is attributed to three things:

Hiring spree

Many companies in the space are rapidly expanding their teams. “Wallets & Custodians” are seeing the fastest growth, with an average workforce increase of 83% YoY. KAST, one of the 25 companies in this category, grew its headcount tenfold in the last year.

All eyes on payments

Perhaps the most notable finding (at least from Mesh’s standpoint) is that payments processing companies are expected to receive 10x funding in 2025. Mesh is listed in this category along with 23 other companies including Stripe, Shield, and Coinflow.

Conclusion
